THE DAVE NEWSPAPER COLUMNS

For much of his time at college, David wrote columns for his campus newspaper which pushed the bounds of what most students usually wrote about and made David a controversial campus character.

THE DAVE NOTEBOOKS

David left behind several dozen spiral notebooks filled with his every thought, dream, beginnings of short stories, and more. One night, while back in Philadelphia, David lost one of his notebooks. He spent the next day typing this heartbreaking account, "The Lost Notebook," which shows how deeply invested David was in his writing, and how much he hoped others would one day read it.

"THE ROLLING STONE TAPES"

In 1987, one of David's close friends got an assignment to write a story for Rolling Stone magazine about Brown University, and he asked David and some others to take a car trip from New York back to Providence.

“DAVE'S PLACE”

In the mid-1980s some some of David’s friends made a short film using David's apartment as the set and Dave as the main character. Now, hear some of his friends talk about David's brief life as an artist in New York.
